After decades of reloading I finally decided to design a tool that would keep steel cases out of my progressive presses. I have seen the other products on the market and while many work well and indeed catch the steel case in the drop tube it becomes an ordeal to remove the case and slows the whole process down to a crawl.
I have designed a “catch” that will stop the case at the micro-switch thereby stopping additional cases from dropping behind it and also allowing the user to simply pull the drop tube out of the clip and remove the steel case at the base of the drop funnel; it couldn’t be easier!
Please note that this only works with the Dillon Casefeeders with the 1/2 inch hole in the clear plastic to the right of the drop funnel.
